Marlowe Quinn

plainspoken songs about leaving and coming back

Marlowe Quinn writes the kind of folk songs that sound like they have always existed. Raised between a coastal town and a long highway, Quinn learned guitar from a grandmother's songbook and never quite put it down.

The debut record, "Tide Will Tell," was cut live to tape in a converted barn over four rainy days. There are no click tracks and no overdubs to speak of — just a voice, a guitar, and the room. Quinn tours mostly by car, playing listening rooms, front porches, and the occasional church hall.
